I find that camcorders are one of the main pieces of equipment in the outdoor enthusiast’s kit bag these days. In the olden day (i.e. over ten years ago) camcorders were just too bulky to consider taking along with you on a hill walk.
However, nowadays, camcorders and cameras – along with laptops, mobiles, GPS devices and a whole load of other technological equipment – have become commonplace on outdoor trips.
These things are great for capturing the experience to re-live with friends or for documenting great times. The more competitive amongst us can also record achievements. An important piece of advice is to make sure you have the correct camcorder accessories such as additional batteries, light filters or even a solar charger, to ensure you are always ready to capture the moment.
