SynYang’s Christmas gift bags a success
SynYang, a packaging design and procurement firm, created a range of specialist gift bags for Christmas which have proved hugely popular over the festive period.
The company, which is based in Leicester, commissioned freelance illustrator Kate Bell to create two designs for the bags, which it claims offer a practical approach to gift wrapping.
The design entitled “Baubles” features pink, silver and black illustrations on a dark grey background, and has dual-colour ribbon handles in pink and black.
The other design, known as “Tree”, has a stylised white and pink graphic on brown bags with striking pink highlights.
Both designs are available in medium and large bag sizes, and took two months to produce. The Christmas gift bags are Bell’s second collaboration with SynYang in 18 months.
Commenting on the bags, Kate Bell remarked: “The designs are minimalistic but very stylish and eye-catching. They are sure to appeal to discerning present-givers.”
As it turned out, the bags proved to be bestsellers over the Christmas period. Gift bags themselves have been growing in popularity in recent years, as more and more consumers realise that they make an excellent alternative to wrapping paper.
