Self seal plastic bags keep food ultra-fresh
My wife and I are very keen ramblers. Our favourite Sunday would involve walking for several miles along the coastal paths of Sussex, Hampshire or Dorset, interrupted by a packed lunch on a bench affording a wonderful view of the sea. We take plenty of food and a flask of coffee with us whenever we go.
Thanks to self seal plastic bags, our sandwiches and pork pies are always perfectly fresh, so they taste just as good as they would have if they’d only just been made. We also like to take a piece of cake or two as well.

Find new homes and enjoy the great outdoors
Many people move house to be closer to work, and some do so just to be nearer to the things they enjoy doing. For example, several enjoy hill-walking, and are willing to relocate to areas that are close to some of the most beautiful countryside, to enable them to enjoy their hobby more easily.
Thanks to the Internet, it’s so easy to find new homes in all parts of the UK, so you can always be nearer to your passion. Whether it’s football, dancing, golf, rambling or horse-racing, log on today and see what you can find.

Dealing with wasps
If your passion is hillwalking then, at some point, you’re going to come across the problem of wasps. In the summer, they can be annoying and dangerous interlopers on your outdoor adventures.
So the first tip is to avoid the height of summer if you can for your trip. That is rarely possible though when you look at a beautiful summer’s day you don’t want to let only the insects have fun.
If you do venture out, avoid wearing bright colours or fragrances. Scented candles can also attract insects, so be wary of using them when you stop to rest or eat.

A rechargeable battery is a must these days
For those of us into outdoor pursuits, it often takes a special type of technology to make it into our kit bag. What I mean is that, fo the purists, there is nothing better than trully getting away form it all.
Although, there are now few hikers who don’t take their mobile phone and many of us have taken to the advantages offered by satellite navigation. Even on more than one occasion, I have taken my laptop computer up the hills and have been glad to do so. But remember to pack a rechargeable battery for any electronic equipment you take along – there is nothing worse than getting stuck in the middle of nowhere without power – especially if you planned to watch a movie in your tent.

Cashmere jumper, the best for the great outdoors
I do a lot of climbing and walking in the hills and, as I got more intot he habit of trekking, kitted myself out with tthe best (or atleat the most pporopriate) gear.
This usually menas going to a specialist hillwalking store and buying the latest, new-fangled material in jackets and rucksacks etc. However, I was pleasnatly surprised when I began to wear my much loved cashmeres out on the hills.
A cashmere jumper is so good at keeping out the cold and it is fashionable too, that I recommend it to anyone who want sot look good and be supremely well kitted out while hiking about in the great outdoors.

Watching birds in the great British outdoors
It’s wonderful to get away from it all and do a spot of hillwalking, but the thing that really makes it for me is the bird watching opportunities. I’m strictly an amateur when it comes to birds, but I still get a great deal out of seeing the wide variety of birds that us city dwellers never catch a glimpse of.
In Britain, there are a number of birds that usually never come into contact with the human population. Although, my bird watching exploits generally involve a good trek with just the hope of seeing some of these creatures (that is I don’t hide away with the explicit purpose of seeing a certain bird), I have been fortunate enough to see many of the rarer indigenous bird species. I’d highly recommend this pass-time to anyone – wishing you the success I’ve enjoyed.

Ladies country clothing
My home is surrounded by renowned routes for walking in the Scottish scenery. However, until recently I hadn’t taken to hillwalking as an activity. It took the insistence of close friends to get me up on the hills, and I’m glad they did.
I have come to enjoy the time spent with friends amongst nature. Even the cold doesn’t put a dampener on proceedings as long I wrap up well in the right ladies country clothing. Correct country clothes make a real difference in the bitter conditions of Autumn and winter.
I think the reason I was hesitant to go hillwalking is the impression of hard work and beating the elements, but the work is rewarding and the weather doesn’t penetrate the right gear.
So, if you want to get outdoors and explore some outstanding scenery, I’d recommend hillwalking.
