I love quad bike trekking!
It was my birthday last week, and, as a special surprise, my friends clubbed together to take me quad bike trekking for the day. I still can’t believe how much fun we had! Even though I don’t drive, after a few minutes being shown the controls I quickly got the hang of it and was soon roaring around the trails with the rest of them.
I’ll definitely be going back again sometime soon. Negotiating the trails at high speed was a bit scary at times, but that all added to the thrill of it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day out.

Plastic plates for summer picnics
I haven’t used plastic plates for years, but we broke them out last week for a little summer picnic with the family. Plastic plates always remind me of the camping and caravanning holidays my mum and dad used to take me on when I was younger – the food was always terrible and it inevitably rained.
This time, however, was very different. The weather was gorgeous all day – I think we got the best of the last of the summer – and the food I had lovingly prepared went down well with everyone. It was a tremendous success, and something we should definitely do more often.

Cashmere scarf – a great gift for any woman
My husband recently bought me a cashmere scarf, and I must say I am quite taken with it. There is nothing like the feeling of warm, soft cashmere against my neck, and it is so versatile and practical, I can team it with any outfit and it goes.
I like how stylish my cashmere scarf looks with a blouse and trousers for work, and when I wear it over my little black dress it really sets the whole outfit off a treat.
I am hoping that next time it will be a cashmere beret or gloves to complete the set – fingers crossed!
